AVG Antivirus programs come in two varieties. There is a FREE version and there is a paid version. There are many websites out there that offer AVG, so you can go get your FREE version from them. If what you need is just a simple Antivirus Software then the FREE version is probably all that is needed. People that are heavy users of the Internet and do lots of downloading, the paid version should be looked at. Remember to do your own research before deciding. 

 

AVG Antivirus is relatively easy to setup and configure and it should just work quite well out of the box. The program is easy to use and is extremely effective in what it is set out to do. It provides the standard Antivirus functions such as scanning, removing and basically taking care of all things Virus. It has a low impact on processing power and consumes little memory. Remember that the amount of processing power that an Antivirus Software needs to use a key factor when deciding which piece of software to choose from.

 

AVG claims to do what it needs to do as an Antivirus Software. I agree with its claims and find it a great program to use that suits many people's needs.
