Broadband Internet

Broadband Internet is something most of us are connected to and use on a day to day basis. It is the combination of the Internet and a Broadband connection. We access the Internet through a Broadband Service provider and this can be referred to as Broadband Internet. The Broadband connection is a way of saying a fast connection to the Internet as compared to the distant past dial-up service connection to the Internet. Broadband Speed is much faster than dial-up speeds these days. In some cases we are achieving speeds in excess of 100 times faster.

 

What do we do with all this speed? The answer is simple, we cram more and more data down our Internet connections and we do this at faster speeds. Things such as interactive websites made with Flash or videos are popping up on many new websites these days. People are cramming a lot more information into websites and websites are becoming bigger and bigger. A website page that is 1MB in size isn't surprising these days. At today's speeds this can load up within 5 seconds.

 

With the Broadband Internet becoming more and more accessible by more and more people. People come to expect more and more. The Internet is one of the fastest growing technologies ever. It spreads news like wild fire and people know about things at speeds that were once not possible. These days information is delivered to all parts of the world at super fast speeds and we are living in a world where people practically go about their daily lives while online.
