Broadband ISP

Broadband ISP stands for Internet Service Provider of Broadband connections to the Internet. There are many Broadband Internet Service Provider or Internet service providers out there. These days they mainly deal with providing a Broadband Service. Long gone are the days of dial-up connections running at 56 kbps. These days speeds have reached in excess of 24 kbps. Many of these Providers provide a service based on speed, download limits, excess usage rates and cost. Customers are looking for cheap and fast Internet. They are also looking for a Broadband Internet Service Provider that is widely known and trustworthy. The ISP usually offers different plans that suit different customers. If there is excess costs when usage exceeds the allocated usage given then this plan is usually not chosen. There are many factors in choosing an ISP to use and the providers are having a tough time because there is so much competition out there. Internet service providers provide a service. That service being giving the customers access to the Internet in a reliable and effective way.

These days most Broadband ISP companies provide wireless and non wireless solutions. Wireless solutions are as the name suggests, in other words solutions that give customers the use of the Internet through the wireless medium (i.e. Mobile Broadband). No wires are required and the customers are free to roam where ever they want and use the Internet. The wireless connection is still limited to regions where this service is provided. Larger Broadband ISP companies have greater coverage or wireless Internet than smaller ISP companies. Which probably explains why smaller ISP companies offer just cheap cable solutions which use your phone line connections. Since phone line connections have already been laid out in the past, the infrastructure is already there and just waiting to be used.
