Free VoIP
Free VoIP is something that all users of VoIP want. There are many websites that contain links to Free VoIP sites. VoIP is always going to be the cheaper alternative to calls via the land line or using mobile phones. The very nature of VoIP using the Internet and delivering voice as digital data rather than analog just makes cheaper.
Can VoIP be entirely free though? Is a business going to supply a VoIP Service to the customer for absolutely no cost. The answer to this question is most likely no. A business is out there usually to make money. If it means giving a service away for free and luring customers into buying another service that isn't free then that is what it would do. Customers need access to the Internet to use VoIP so a Internet Broadband Connection is needed. This Broadband Service Provider is usually not free, but it can be if you go to Free Internet Cafes. VoIP can be free if you look hard enough and you call people that are using the same network.
You must understand getting Free VoIP to every single destination in the world is not the idea, just getting the places you need to talk to is enough. Most VoIP Service Providers will let the users talk for free within their own network and they will charge people for talking outside the network. Usually users are charged for talking to landlines or mobile phones. The great thing about making calls with VoIP is that it is super cheap, but not entirely Free as such.
Skype for example is on the popular VoIP Service Providers out there in the market today. You can use it to talk to people across the Internet via computers for free. This makes long distance calls free inside the Skype network. Calls to regular landlines cost money. There is a company called Raketu which offers calls with VoIP to landlines for free in many countries. There are still costs associated with calling destinations that are not on the free list.
Free VoIP is something everyone wants, since these days Mobile Phones have access to the Internet and users can greatly benefit from a Free calling service.
